About Us

HSV Drone Pilots Group (August 2017)

A Village group was formed by drone pilots, for drone pilots.  We provide information, guidance and personal assistance to enhance flying skills and confidence.  Our focus is safe and responsible use of Small Unmanned Aerial System (sUAS) according to FAA Rules and Regulations.  We promote, encourage and support courteous "Good Neighbor" drone use within the Village.

We began with six members eager to reach out to new and experienced flyers who don’t know about the group.

We have qualified leaders and members willing to assist and inform pilots while promoting safety, education and fun.

Renee Steinpreis resteinpreis@icloud.com

Renee Steinpreis is an experienced aerial photographer and video editing guru for over 10 years and has been flying a drone quad copter for nearly 4 years.  Her work is visible on numerous Village & Club websites and promotional materials in professional-grade photo, video, and print formats.

There are several different versions of drones among the current pilots and they are prepared to assist and guide you with all aspects of flying a sUAS.

We invite you to join our group if interested; or if curious, then come and check us out to see if it is something you would like.  We will give you assistance in choosing what to buy, where and how to use it.  Yes, there is a learning curve; that is why this group was formed.

We meet and fly the end of each month at a different venue.  The location is announced just prior to the gathering date based upon weather and planned activities.
